2.1-channel soundbar: The HTS-8100 Home Theater System features a built-in DVD player and soundbar, with 6.5 long throw woofer. You get surround sound effects out of a stylish piano black system that is wall-mountable with your flat-screen television.

1080p upconversion player: The DVD player upconverts your standard DVDs to a near high-definition quality. When hooked up to an HD TV, youll get more lines of resolution with a crisper video image.

DTS and Dolby Digital: Both DTS and Dolby Digital are sound decodings that take a source with six audio channels, and disperse them to separate speakers in a surround system. With Philips Ambisound feature, you get a 5.1 feel from 2.1 speakers primed to deliver a more powerful acoustic experience. Dolby Pro Logic II takes a stereo sound source, and delivers a 5.1-like punch.

Faroudja DCDi: This advanced video processing technology smooths the jagged edges that can appear when video is upconverted, especially with moving images. You'll enjoy sharper video and more natural-looking action scenes.
